Gregory F. Johnson, owner of Mt. Nebo Law, is a native of Orem, Utah. After serving a two-year Spanish-speaking mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Bolivia, he graduated from Utah Valley University with a Bachelor’s Degree in History and simultaneously earned a commission as an officer in the Military Intelligence Corps of the United States Army. As a Veteran, Greg has served over twelve years in the U.S. Army. The highlight of Greg’s military career was a combat tour to Afghanistan where he served alongside United States J.A.G. lawyers. He currently serves as a Captain in the Utah Army National Guard. Greg’s experience while serving his country as a soldier has made him passionate about defending and fighting for his clients’ rights. His military service has honed his leadership qualities and helped him acquire the necessary traits to be a zealous advocate for his clients while representing their interests.
Greg obtained his law degree from the Southern Illinois University School of Law. While there he completed externships for both the Jackson County Public Defender’s office and the SIU Elder Law clinic, where he represented indigent clients throughout Southern Illinois assisting with criminal matters, the drafting of wills, trusts, and handling guardianship proceedings. He also served as President of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society.
He is experienced in handling domestic relation cases including divorce, support modification, adoption, paternity suits, and prenuptial agreements. More recently, Greg gained experience in civil and commercial litigation including anti-trust suits and breach of contract claims while working at his former firm.
Greg is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the District Court District of Utah and all Utah courts including the Utah Supreme Court. Greg is a member of the Central Utah Bar Association, Dispute resolutions, and Litigation sections of the Utah State Bar, American Bar Association and J. Reuben Clark Law Society. Greg is also a member of the Payson City Chamber of Commerce.
He and his wife, the former Lisa Hiskey of Teasdale, Utah, live in Spanish Fork, Utah, with their four children. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family hunting, fishing, camping and traveling.
